In 2024, after defining its corporate purpose, our client, a leading multi-format retail group in Asia, set out to create a unifying Employer Value Proposition (EVP). Employing tens of thousands across supermarkets, convenience, and specialty stores, the group wanted to strengthen pride, attract talent, and connect its diverse workforce across business units.
In SEA frontline sectors, turnover can hit 48%, with high annual replacement costs.

Business Challenge
The retail group needed an EVP that could authentically bring together employees from multiple units under one shared identity, while reflecting the values and ambitions of its corporate purpose.
Approach
Through 12 leadership interviews, 18 interactive sessions with over 30 employees each, numerous employee survey reviews, and 5+ co-working sessions with the People & Culture Core Team, we co-created an EVP and employer branding that genuinely represent the retail group.
Impact
The result was a clear EVP and a full employer branding toolkit, which included messaging, logo, color palette, typography, and brand voice. It strengthens the bond with current employees, fosters pride, and makes the retail group more attractive to new talent.
